MakeSure Mochi Top-Entry Cat Litter Box 100L Enclosed Design

Top-entry litter boxes solve a problem that front-entry boxes mostly ignore: litter doesn't travel as far when a cat has to climb up and back down rather than walk straight out through a low door. The Mochi takes that idea and builds an entire enclosure around it — a tall, fully covered box with a 100L internal volume that genuinely changes how much mess ends up on the surrounding floor.

The entry sits on top, which keeps the litter contained below where it belongs and adds a layer of privacy that a lot of cats clearly prefer, judging by how often owners report a less reluctant cat once they switch formats. Inside, there's enough room for cats to turn, dig, and find their spot without feeling boxed in despite the enclosed shell. The high walls do double duty too — they're what stops the more enthusiastic diggers from sending litter over the side, which is a real and fairly common problem with open trays.

Cleaning is the part most enclosed boxes get wrong, so the Mochi is built around a pull-out tray that slides free without needing to lift or tip the whole unit. The shell itself is moulded PP, which doesn't hold onto odour the way some cheaper plastics do over time, and it wipes down without much effort. Setup takes a few minutes out of the box, and there's a built-in scoop holder so the tool you need most often doesn't end up lost behind the litter bag.

Care Instructions

Daily: Scoop solids through the top entry as needed. The pull-out tray makes this straightforward without removing the lid.

Full clean: Slide the tray fully out, empty, and rinse with warm water and a mild detergent. Dry completely before refilling to avoid litter clumping against a damp surface.

Shell maintenance: Wipe the interior and exterior with a damp cloth as needed. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scourers, which can scratch the PP surface and make it more prone to retaining odour over time.

Place on a flat, stable surface. Allow a short adjustment period for cats transitioning from an open tray — placing some familiar litter inside before the switch usually helps.
