The standard pet carrier backpack is a single compartment with a zip. Useful, but not particularly well thought through for someone who also needs to carry their phone, keys, wallet, and a few treats on the same outing. The PurrPy solves this in a fairly direct way: the main backpack for your pet, and a removable mini shoulder bag that clips on when you need it and detaches when you don't, functioning as either an accessory organiser attached to the bag or a standalone pouch for daily errands without the backpack itself.
The carrying structure is built properly for a product that's meant to hold a cat or small dog up to 7kg. A stable anti-collapse base and internal frame keep the bag's shape under load, so your pet has a consistent floor to stand or sit on rather than a sagging fabric hammock that shifts with every step. Three-sided ventilation mesh provides airflow and sightlines in three directions, and a built-in sunshade flap closes when you're in direct sun.
