Cassava is a starch-dense root crop grown across Southeast Asia, and the reason it makes a useful cat litter material isn't complicated: it clumps fast, the granules are dense enough to stay put rather than scatter across the floor, and the starch binds moisture into a firm mass that holds together on the scoop. What pidan has done is combine high-quality imported cassava starch from Southeast Asia with corn and wheat starch in a specific ratio — cassava at 20%, corn at 45%, wheat at 25%, with baking soda — to balance clumping speed, density, and odour absorption in a way that any single starch source alone doesn't quite reach.
The small, dense granule size is the detail that makes the practical difference day to day. Smaller particles fill gaps, and the specific weight of cassava litter enhances anti-tracking performance compared to lighter tofu-style granules. Clumps form quickly after contact with moisture, don't easily break into dust, and the fast clumping after water absorption prevents adhesion to the litter box bottom — which is where the cleaning gets unpleasant with slower-setting litters. Like all pidan cat litter, samples are pulled from the production line every day and tested for formaldehyde, aflatoxin B₁, and total bacterial count. Ammonia and hydrogen sulphide removal efficiency reaches up to 90%.

Directions for Use
Fill to approximately 5–6cm depth in a clean, dry litter tray. Scoop clumps daily. Top up with fresh litter to maintain depth. Full change recommended every 3–4 weeks for a single cat.
Transitioning: Mix with your cat's existing litter gradually over several days, increasing the cassava proportion each day.
Returns Policy
