More Room Changes the Way a Cat Uses a Scratcher
A narrow scratching pad often works for the front paws but leaves the rest of a larger cat hanging off the edge. At 58 × 58cm, this board gives cats enough space to plant their paws, stretch through the shoulders and put their body weight behind the scratch. Compared with smaller cat scratchers, the generous surface gives bigger cats much more freedom to stretch, scratch and settle down comfortably in the same spot.
The curved surface also explains why many cats end up using boards like this as a bed. After a scratching session, they can simply settle into the same spot rather than moving elsewhere.
